New speciality coffee shop to open in Bristol

Are you up for a C.U.P?

CUP Speciality Tea and Coffee Bristol

Bristol folk looking for their next coffee fix will soon have another indie café to choose from with the opening of C.U.P. Speciality Coffee and Tea on Park Street later this month.

C.U.P. will be serving food in the form of pastries, sandwiches, cakes and home-baked traditional Greek pies, but the emphasis is very much on the hot brews.

“We believe that coffee is an everyday need but also an affordable luxury, and this is how we treat it,” says Maria Fyssaki, co-owner of C.U.P. “We have passionate and knowledgeable baristas whose attention to detail and persistence ensures the best brew every time. They will be there to guide you through the amazing philosophy behind speciality coffee and tea and make sure you get exactly what you want.”

Occupying the former Moss Bros store on Park Street, the coffee shop is part of a wider property development by developers Urban Creation, who are opening new offices on the site, as well as student apartments upstairs. This is the third C.U.P. to open – the first outside of Reading – since the business’ launch in 2015.

“We are excited to open our third branch in Bristol, a vibrant city known for its support of independent businesses like ours,” says Maria. “76 Park Street is an amazing location for our business, as it’s right near to the university and at the beating heart of the city. The building itself is a real gem and has been renovated beautifully.” Speciality Coffee and Tea is due to open later this month; keep an eye on i
