The Bird hotel in Bath has unveiled its alfresco pop-up venue for this summer – great for making the most of the feeting sunshine.
The Nook Garden is a prime ray-catching spot during the day – we can personally attest to this, after enjoying a glass of something cold and bubbly in the south-facing suntrap recently. After sundown, though, lanterns glow and candles flicker among the colourful, tasselled parasols and intruiging sculptures.
It’s a relaxed spot, with a mix of wicker furniture and bright beanbags, all good for lounging on while enjoying a crisp rosé, ice-cold local beer or cocktail, perhaps. Food (think summer salads and sourdough pizzas, as well as small snacks) is served on Friday evenings and throughout Saturdays.
