The curtain raises on new evening menu at St George’s

Dishes under a tenor

St George’s concert hall, just off Park Street, has launched its first evening menu. The new offering will be music to the ears of those taking in a performance at the world-renowned venue, offering dining from 6pm up to half an hour before concerts.

The menu has been composed by French-born head chef Oakan Brousse, who impressed us with a great-value lunch menu last year. The seasonal offering currently features braised and roasted pork belly, and Sri Lankan spiced puy lentils with sweet potato falafel. There’s no need to make a song and dance about the prices, with a bowl of seasonal soup and sourdough priced at £5.50 (let’s hope it’s not too hot to Handel) and main courses around £9. The impressive glass-fronted café is also open from 8.30am to 6pm serving Triple Co coffee, cakes and lighter breakfast and lunch options.
