Bandook is set to be the next opening in Milson Place, following the success of the concept in Bristol. The new restaurant will offer a menu of Indian street food classics: think chilli paneer, Grandma’s curry, alongside small plates and an extensive cocktail list.
The concise menu will change seasonally and, new to the Bath restaurant, will offer both breakfasts and afternoon tea.
The team are also well-known for their inventive cocktail creations; their take on the Espresso Martini is made with Belenkaya vodka, Tia Maria, chai syrup and coffee. While we’re talking shots, the name Bandook originates from the Hindi/Urdu translation for gun or rifle and was a word adopted by British troops during the age of the Raj.
Co-owner Moe Rahman certainly hopes that the second opening is on target with South West foodies.
“I’ve been in the restaurant business all my life and I’ve always wanted to create a rustic street food concept. We’re excited to see Bandook Bristol continue to grow and we’re really looking forward to the next chapter in the beautiful city of Bath.”
