The Pony & Trap have had a bit of a busy month, to say the least. Recently scooping second place in the Top 50 Gastropub awards , Josh Eggleton and co have also announced their tasty looking 2018 guest chef series.
The 200-year-old pub will host:
17 April Jesse Dunford Wood, Parlour, London
27 May Brad Carter, Carter’s of Moseley, Birmingham
28 June Adam Reid, The French, Manchester
24 July Niall Keating, Whatley Manor, Wiltshire
28 August Tommy Heaney, The Great House, Bridgend
25 September Dominic Chapman, The Beehive, Berkshire
16 October Emily Watkins, The Kingham Plough, Chipping Norton
27 November Jude Kereama, Kota, Porthleven
Kicking off the impressive eight-month series is Brazilian born Jesse Dunford Wood, famed for his inventive and playful dishes such as ‘posh fish fingers’ and Cow Pie. We’re also excited to see Niall Keating from Whatley Manor, which we recently reviewed with his " innovative and, frankly, quite astonishing" creations.
Exciting times are coming.... we've got a cracking guest chef series lined up this year.. @dunfordwood @ChefBradCarter @adschef @keatingniall1 @heaney16 @DomChapman @ChefWatkins @JudeKereama 👏 pic.twitter.com/PdP20itoxg— The Pony & Trap (@theponyandtrap) February 6, 2018
Looking forward to the guest series; Josh Eggleton commented,
“Last year we debuted the guest chef series at The Pony to great success. We wanted to mix things up a little for 2018 and look at some different names from a little farther afield.
"Guys like Brad, Tommy Jesse and Adam and Niall are all at the top of their game and it’s going to be an honour to have them our kitchen. We also wanted to keep the South West vibe so bringing back Dominic, Emily and Jude who featured last year seemed like the perfect choice once again.”
