Some of the best food stalls in the South West have set up in Kingsmead Square
Some mighty fine food traders have rolled into Bath to join up with local businesses for the annual street food market in Kingsmead Square. Visitors can expect everything from Craft Waffles' comforting creations to Tasty Ragga's Caribbean street food and Elspeth's Kitchen's vegan cakes, as well as plenty of space to sit – undercover, importantly – and tuck in.
This year's market also sees the arrival of The Scallop Shell’s shiny new food truck that will be dishing out Cornish hake fillet with homemade tartare sauce, smoked salmon fishcakes, and langoustine bisque with chips and aioli. The mac of the moment comes from Alp Mac who are serving up big pots of cheesy goodness (we cover ours in hot sauce), and those with some meaty cravings could do worse that heading over to the Low 'n' Slow stand, where they'll find gorgeously tender barbecue fare.
Kingsmead Square festive food market takes place Thursday to Sunday (11am-9pm) each week until 9 December and is less than a ten-minute walk from Bath Spa station. There’ll be a slightly different line-up each weekend so check with individual traders on Twitter if you’ve got your heart set on something in particular, 'kay?
