Have a hand in shaping the vibrant food landscape in Bath and Bristol? We want to hear your story...
Set up in 2017 to celebrate and champion Bath and Bristol’s diverse, exciting and forward-thinking food scene in its entirety, they recognise everyone from chefs to events teams, producers to front-of-house stars, as well as all those heroes and projects working hard to make culinary waves in the community. Our aim is to throw the spotlight on some of the best places to eat out, causes to support and produce to cook with for our readers, while also causing sparks to fly between all those involved in the food scene.
“We’re hoping to set new records when it comes to entries, getting more of the best Bath and Bristol food businesses involved than ever before and uncovering new and inspiring stories to shout about,” says Crumbs editor, Jessica Carter.
Want to get in on the action? Course you do. Here’s the need-to-know.
The Crumbs Awards are open to all food and drinks businesses across Bristol, Bath and the surrounding areas. (Here’s a link to our current reigning champions.)
The awards comprise 18 categories that have been created to represent all corners of the awesome food scene we have here on our patch, and to recognise the people and businesses behind it (that’s you).
Entries are open now, and you can either submit yours online here, or go old-school and download the form. Once you’ve started an application you can save and update it as much as you like until you submit. Handy.
This is your chance to show our panel of independent judges why your business deserves recognition for an outstanding year as well as shouting about the ethics and values you live by. Finalists will be invited to attend a special reception to celebrate their success, and the winners are revealed at a fun (and food) packed awards ceremony at the Bristol Old Vic. Take a look at our image gallery from last years raucous night.
Entries are open right now, and will remain open for the coming weeks (the closing date will be announced later in the summer). Awards night itself will take place on 6 October.
