Some of the South West's best restaurants are getting involved with Farm Africa’s Dine for Good campaign.

The chairty works to support farmers in the most deprived areas of Africa. By providing growers with the tools and expertise they need to properly utilise natural recources and cultivate successful harvests, Farm Africa hopes to offer sustainable aid in regions such as Ethiopia, Kenya, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda where famine is prominent.

The Pony & Trapp in Chew Magna, Fleur de Lis in Pucklechurch and Lucknam Park in Colerne are all adding a voluntary £1 donation to each food bill throughout March and April to help raise funds for the charity's work.

Michelin-starred Josh Eggleton from The Pony & Trapp comments: "The Pony & Trap is focussed on serving food which is grown by the very best producers in the region and promoting sustainability in the food chain. We are supporting Farm Africa who are working with farmers growing similar produce in eastern Africa to give them tools and the means to become self sufficient. Through Dine for Good, we’re hoping to make a long-term difference to these families and communities."
